Tiles, Cabinets and Kitchen Worktop selected!

Yesterday after much deliberation we finally decided on our Laminates, Tiles and Kitchen Worktop.  Have pretty much decided on the same things throughout the house rather than having different things for each room.

Bathroom: Light Brown/Mocha Floor Tiles, Gloss White Wall Tiles and Light Brown/Mocha feature tile which will run vertically up the shower wall.  Cabinets will be Laminex Hazelnut Wood natural finish and worktops will be Formica Alpine Marble velour finish.

En Suite: Light Brown/Mocha Floor Tiles, Gloss White Wall Tiles and two side-by-side rows of the mosaic feature tile which will run vertically up the shower wall.  Cabinets will be Laminex Hazelnut Wood natural finish and worktops will be Formica Alpine Marble velour finish.

Laundry: Light Brown/Mocha Floor Tiles with Gloss White Wall Tiles.  Cabinets will be Laminex Hazelnut Wood natural finish and worktops will be Formica Alpine Marble velour finish.

Kitchen: Parchment off-white Silk (Gloss) Kitchen cabinets with 30mm Laminex Bianco Quartz worktop.  For the walls we are going to have a glass splashback but still need to look at those to decide what colour to go for.

Still plodding along...

Just been up to the plot and things don't seem to have moved on much from last time really, they have flattened and cleared our plot and are now working on the paths at the front of the house.  Oh and we have lamposts too!

Finance 'almost' sorted and Prestart Booked

Things are defintiely moving now, had the Bank round last night going over the last bits on the finance and had a call today from the builder booking a prestart meeting for Wednesday 9th June.

As we are in Margaret River next weekend that gives us this weekend to get everything finalised and ready, aargh!

Hopefully the land will title soon as that's still dragging along...

Building Contract Signed !!!

Well we signed the building contract today, hopefully full steam ahead now !!!

It's been a while

Apologies for the lack of updates everyone, with the Iceland Volcano leaving the Cullinan's "stranded" with us for an extra 3 weeks we havent had much time to give  any updates.

Loads going on in the area now as you can see from the below piccies.

This is our plot, the retaining walls are fully in and the front stone wall is pretty much done

Utilities are going in at the front of the house

One side of Karridale Vista is pretty much fully paved, our side is done to about half way up the road

You can see the style of paving they are putting into the road, it looks great and we are really happy with it

Some pommies managed to get onto site despite the signs telling them to stay away ;o)

The parkland has been flattened down hopefully they will start putting some trees in here soon so we can see what they have planned

The above pics are from about 3 weeks ago so will be heading up this weekend for another update as we are hoping we will be pretty much done by now.

Land titles have been delayed though, should have been done at the end of April but got a letter from LWP saying that it will now be end May...
